During a recent Global Prophetic Company session, as our ministry team was flowing in the gifts of the Holy Spirit, I felt Him speak to me very specifically: Pray for people with locked shoulders. I made an internal agreement with the Lord to obey, and waited for my turn to minister.
As I waited, something unusual happened — something I’ve often experienced when it comes to New Zealand. I suddenly found myself in a vision, yet still fully aware of my surroundings. In my natural environment, I was seated at my desk, looking at a screen and facilitating prophetic ministry. But in the vision of the Spirit, I was standing in Auckland, New Zealand, next to one of my interns — a Māori native. I knew immediately this word wasn’t just for the room; it was for her and someone close to her — a family member or someone she would soon encounter.
When I spoke, I simply released the word: God is unlocking shoulders. I called her out specifically and told her that a family member — or someone she would meet — would be dealing with a locked shoulder, but God was already sending His Word to heal them. I reminded everyone that words of knowledge can be transferred in this manner and release the anointing just the same as when the original hearer carries it and ministers it.
Sure enough, within a day, she came back to testify:
“Prophet Jennifer released a word of knowledge about a locked shoulder during our session. As I write this, my husband just walked in from work. I hadn’t mentioned anything to him, but the Holy Spirit prompted me to ask about his shoulder. He confessed he had been suffering with a locked shoulder for some time from an old injury. I played him Prophet Jennifer’s word, and we immediately prayed, releasing the anointing that came through her word. My husband is now healed in Jesus’ name! Thank you, Jesus, and thank you, Prophet Jennifer, for releasing that healing word!”
We all got to see the video of her husband lifting and moving his shoulder — fully healed. But when I saw it, I knew this was bigger than one healing. I knew it was a prophetic sign and word for New Zealand.
Let me explain.
Six months ago, we had a powerful ministry time in Auckland. We watched over 75 people give their lives to Jesus on the streets over just four days. There were miracle healings too. It was glorious, but make no mistake — ministering in nations requires serious intercession. Every nation has resident spirits that resist the Gospel, and New Zealand was no different. What took us by surprise, though, was the manifestation of a covenant-breaking spirit. Sadly, and without warning, we watched some relationships simply “break” and evaporate.
At the same time, while there, my shoulder locked up. I was in so much pain— the take your breathe away kind of pain when I moved it wrong. While medical professionals recognized this condition, I knew immediately there was a spiritual root. Isaiah 9:6 prophesies about Jesus, “…and the government will be upon His shoulder.” I believe shoulders can symbolize government and authority — that we carry authority on our shoulders. And when your shoulder locks up, it might be a prophetic sign your spiritual authority is under attack. As a prophet to the nations, there was no question that this was what was happening.
I’ve learned that broken covenants impact your spiritual authority because disunity diminishes the anointing (Ps. 133) and creates conditions for the curse. It’s with authority, however, that you recover from the impact of broken covenants. And in the pain of recovery, you must not give your authority away.
With authority, I spoke to my locked-up shoulder every day. I spoke this command in front of my family and staff. I wanted everyone around me to hear it. I declared and decreed there was only one option, and it was complete healing. And now, six months later, I’m about 95% healed from a condition that usually takes 1–3 years to recover, even with cortisone shots and therapy (if it ever heals at all).
Remember that a prophet will often walk out a word before they give it and New Zealand, this healing word is for you.
This is your Malachi 4:5–6 moment:
“And he will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers, lest I come and strike the earth with a curse.”
New Zealand, your land is being spared.
Kingdom covenant is being restored.
Your spiritual authority is being renewed.
Strength and honor are being returned to you.
